Paperboard weight and thickness are quoted in GSM (grams per square meter), points (thousandths of an inch), and caliper – the three measures that decide how thick and sturdy your box feels. Getting them right means a box that feels sturdy without paying for stock you do not need.

What does GSM tell you about weight?
